Sokavo helps shoppers discover independent businesses, while you stay in charge of your products, prices, customer care, and day-to-day decisions.

Your payments. Your customer care.

Customers pay through the payment processor connected to your shop. Sokavo does not collect hosted-storefront product payments or take a percentage of your sales. You manage your customer service, returns, and refunds. Your processor’s fees still apply.

Your prices. Your shipping.

Choose what to charge, what shipping to offer, and whether to run a sale. You are not required to offer free shipping or discount your work to participate.

Custom and handcrafted work does not always fit a one-size-fits-all shipping clock. Some marketplaces impose strict dispatch windows and penalize vendors when made-to-order pieces need more time. Sokavo recognizes every shop and product is different: set clear, realistic processing and shipping expectations for your customers, and run your business within the terms you publish and Sokavo’s standards.

Discovery included in membership.

Your membership supports Sokavo’s work to bring shoppers to independent businesses. Eligible listings can have SEO-friendly product pages and be discovered through Sokavo’s directory and Shopping Concierge. Eligible shops are considered under the same organic discovery standards; paid placement is not sold to push unpaid listings down.

Sokavo optimizes eligible product listings for Google Shopping to help shoppers discover your products in the Shopping tab. Google determines which products qualify and how listings appear.

A straightforward membership.

Pay a clear monthly Sokavo membership instead of a Sokavo percentage commission on each hosted-storefront sale. Your connected payment processor may charge its own transaction fees.

I understand that my business is responsible for customer service, shipping, returns and fulfilment. I give Sokavo permission to scan my submitted website for publicly available product information, if I apply as a website vendor. I give Sokavo permission to display approved business, product and image information that I provide or that is verified on my website. I give Sokavo permission to create opaque referral links to my website or approved Sokavo pages.

Political merchandise and Sokavo listings

Sokavo does not include political merchandise in its listings. This includes campaign materials, candidate or political-party merchandise, political slogans, and products intended to promote a political position, movement, or cause. The rule covers physical and digital products—including print-on-demand products—whether submitted directly, found through a vendor sitemap, or added or updated later.

If you sell through your own independent website: Sokavo does not control or require changes to lawful products on your website. You may continue selling political merchandise there; Sokavo will exclude those items from Sokavo listings and discovery.

If you use a Sokavo-hosted shop: you may not list, offer, or promote political merchandise in that shop.

Sokavo may withhold or remove an ineligible Sokavo listing and may ask for clarification. A website vendor will not be declined solely because political merchandise remains for sale on their independent website. Print-on-demand products remain subject to Sokavo’s other vendor and product rules. Checking this box acknowledges the listing rules; it does not guarantee vendor approval.

I understand political merchandise will not be included in Sokavo listings. I may continue selling lawful products on my own website, but I will not list or promote political merchandise in a Sokavo-hosted shop.

Adult-content policy

Sokavo may accept lawful adult products, including lingerie, intimate apparel, adult toys and related accessories, but does not permit pornography or sexually explicit content. Vendors are responsible for following this policy and all applicable laws. Read the adult-content policy.

Weapons, violence, horror and fictional-content policy

Lawful vintage, display, artistic, historical and fictional products may be permitted, but prohibited weapons, weapon-making files, violent instructions, real-world threats and content that promotes or encourages real-world violence are not. Vendors are responsible for applicable laws in every relevant jurisdiction. Read the weapons and violence policy.

I understand Sokavo’s weapons, violence, horror, and fictional-content policy. I confirm that I will not sell prohibited weapons, weapon-making files, violent instructions, real-world threats, or content that promotes or encourages real-world violence. I understand that fictional and artistic violence may be permitted when it is not presented as a real-world threat.

Drug and regulated-products policy

Sokavo strictly prohibits illegal drugs, controlled substances, drug-manufacturing materials, drug-evasion products and services that facilitate illegal drug activity. Cannabis, hemp, CBD, THC and cannabinoid products may be listed only where lawful and permitted by the vendor’s payment processor and all applicable laws. Vendors must maintain required licenses and documentation. Read the drug and regulated-products policy.

I understand that Sokavo strictly prohibits illegal drugs, controlled substances, drug-manufacturing materials, drug-evasion products, and services that facilitate illegal drug activity. I understand that cannabis, hemp, CBD, THC, and cannabinoid products may only be listed where lawful and where permitted by the vendor’s payment processor and all applicable laws. I am solely responsible for verifying legal compliance, maintaining required licenses and documentation, and meeting all payment-processor, shipping, labeling, testing, tax, advertising, and safety requirements.

Comprehensive prohibited and regulated-products policy

Sokavo is a marketing, discovery and storefront platform. Vendors use their own payment processor for customer purchases and remain responsible for applicable law, product safety, licensing, taxes, shipping, wildlife/conservation, imports/exports and payment-processing requirements. Sokavo does not automatically ban lawful products merely because they are regulated, unusual, vintage, controversial or legally complex, but may act on clear violations or significant identifiable risks. Read the comprehensive policy.

I understand that Sokavo is a marketing, discovery, and storefront platform. Its policies apply to content listed, displayed, imported, linked, promoted, or marketed through Sokavo, including vendor profiles, hosted storefronts, emails, reviews, feeds, and discovery pages. For my independent website, Sokavo policies apply only to content displayed or promoted through Sokavo; Sokavo does not require me to change lawful content that remains solely on my own website, and I may continue lawful activity there if Sokavo declines a listing. Sokavo may choose not to list, promote, feature, link to, or market a product through Sokavo. These limits do not apply to explicitly illegal content, exploitation, fraud, threats, unlawful violence, prohibited goods, immediate safety risks, or restrictions required by law or valid legal request. If Sokavo rejects or removes a listing that is not explicitly illegal, I will receive the listing identification, policy category, reason, correction instructions where possible, and an opportunity to appeal. The listing remains unpublished while the appeal is reviewed unless Sokavo determines the removal was an error. Sokavo may act without waiting for an appeal where it reasonably believes content is illegal, facilitates illegal activity, creates an immediate safety risk, or must be removed to comply with law or a valid legal request. Sokavo may suspend or terminate membership as permitted by law and the Vendor Terms when continued participation creates significant risk to customers, vendors, the platform, payment processing, reputation, or legal compliance. Ending membership does not itself mean that all of my products or independent website content are illegal. I remain responsible for my own website, products, and legal obligations. Vendors may set their own prices and use ordinary discounts, sales, clearance, and loss-leader pricing; Sokavo does not prohibit them merely for lower prices or price differences. Vendors may not engage in deceptive pricing, fake reviews, impersonation, unlawful price coordination, copied or stolen material, or deliberate search manipulation to harm competitors. Sokavo does not regulate fair market value, and lawful price competition alone is not an enforcement ground. Vendors must use their own payment-processing accounts for customer purchases. Sokavo processes vendor membership and subscription payments only. Vendors remain responsible for customer payments, disputes, taxes, shipping, fulfilment, returns, refunds, exchanges, and customer service. I will not use Sokavo to promote pornography, sexually explicit content, firearms, prohibited weapons, weapon-making materials, real-world violence, illegal drugs, exploitation, fraud, counterfeit goods, malware, pyramid schemes, recruitment-based business opportunities, or other clearly prohibited activity. Sokavo does not automatically ban lawful products merely because they are regulated, unusual, vintage, controversial, or legally complex.
